Man killed, woman injured in Lowndes County crash
A man and woman from Hope Hull were involved in a crash with an 18-wheeler that left him dead and her injured.
Alabama State Troopers say 73-year-old Michael Harris was driving a car that hit the tractor trailer truck, being driven by a man from Idaho. Harris was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say a woman in the car, 75-year-old Suzanna Harris, was taken to Baptist Medical Center South for treatment.
The wreck happened around 5:40PM yesterday on Lowndes County 6 near Interstate 65, about six miles south of Hope Hull in Lowndes County.
