Mostly cloudy Friday, weekend sunshine, rain early next week
A mix of clouds and sunshine filled the sky of central and south Alabama Friday morning. Some locations were more sunny, especially west and south, while other were more cloudy, especially east. Friday afternoon looks mostly cloudy. However, the chance for rain remains near-zero. Meanwhile, temperatures still warm into the low and mid 70s. The sky remains mostly cloudy Friday night. Temperatures remain fairly mild, with lows in the mid 50s.
Sunshine returns this weekend. Saturday and Sunday look partly to mostly sunny. High temperatures warm into the low to mid 70s each day. Rain returns early next week. It now appears that rain holds off until late Monday. However, soaking rain may affect our area throughout Tuesday into Tuesday night. Thunderstorms appear possible, but the severe risk looks very low at this time.
Wednesday and Thanksgiving look drier and could be mostly sunny days. However, temperatures turn cooler as the Monday/Tuesday system departs. High temperatures range from the upper 50s to low 60s each day. Lows fall into the 40s each night. Black Friday and next weekend remain cool, and may feature some rain.
