A Brief Chance To Dry Out

We’re heading towards a little quieter weather setup for a few days. We’re not taking rain out of the forecast but we don’t see anything significant coming our way through the weekend into early next week.

A frontal system is now east of us and we’re getting a brief chance to dry out. Temps will start out in the upper 40s early Wednesday. Northwesterly winds will kick in behind the front and that’s drier air flowing into the area. Clouds should break up and reveal sunshine Wednesday but don’t expect temps to climb a lot. Looks like upper 50s to lower 60s is all we manage Wednesday afternoon. Thursday morning starts out chilly with upper 30s but temps do rebound a little into the upper 50s Thanksgiving afternoon. Clouds will come back into the region as a weak disturbance passes through the area Thursday night into Friday. We can’t rule out a few light showers passes through here. Temps will top out around 60 Friday afternoon.

The weekend will be trending a little better with mostly sunny and dry conditions for most of it. Temps will respond and we’re in the mid 60s for highs both days. Overnight temps will drop into the lower 40s. We do see another weak disturbance heading into the area Sunday night into Monday. This system could bring a few light showers along with it.

Early next week is looking mainly sunny and a bit colder. High pressure will be building over the area and that should help clear the skies out. Colder air does settle over the deep south and we’re expecting overnight temps in the mid to upper 30s through midweek.

Iron Bowl weather conditions are looking pretty good for Saturday. We expect partly sunny skies with temps in the low to mid 60s around the 2:30 kickoff on the plains in Auburn.
