A Fairly Quiet Weather Pattern For Our Holiday Period

Our holiday period will trend rather quiet with no significant weather makers moving through the area.  There will be a few opportunities for showers along with periods of sunshine and mild temperatures.

Thanksgiving morning starts out chilly with upper 30s but temps do rebound a little into the upper 50s to lower 60s during the late afternoon. Clouds will come back into the region as a weak disturbance passes through the area Thursday night into early Friday. We can’t rule out a few light showers passes through here.  Sunshine returns and temps respond with highs in the lower to mid 60s Friday afternoon.

The weekend is looking nice Saturday but showers are possible Sunday.  Temps will  manage lower to mid 60s for highs both days. Overnight temps will drop into the lower 40s. We do see another weak disturbance heading into the area Sunday night into Monday. This system could bring a few light showers along with it.

Early next week is looking mainly sunny and a bit colder. High pressure will be building over the area and that should help clear the skies out. Colder air does settle over the deep south and we’re expecting overnight temps in the mid to upper 30s through midweek.

Iron Bowl weather conditions are looking pretty good for Saturday. We expect partly sunny skies with temps in the low to mid 60s around the 2:30 kickoff on the plains in Auburn.
