From the West Alabama Newsroom–
A Wilcox County woman is behind bars tonight. She’s accused of fatally shooting her husband.
Sheriff Larry Colston says 55 year old Jacqueline Jenkins Mack of Camden is charged with murder in the case.
He says Mack called 9-1-1 at around 9:45 Thursday night — about a shooting at her home. When officers arrived — they found the woman’s husband and a gun — inside the house.
“Once they entered the residence they found the victim, Mister Spencer Mack was deceased right in the living room area,” said Colston. “He had been shot.”
“It wasn’t anything nobody could say about him. Family members or non-family members they couldn’t say nothing bad about him,” said Pamela Mack.
“He was a good genuine guy. And I’m not saying that because he’s my brother. But it’s the truth.”
Colston says the gun officers found in the house — has been sent to forensics — to be examined.
Jacqueline Mack is being held in the Prince Arnold Detention Center without bond — pending an Aniah’s Law hearing.
