Alabama quarterback Tyler Buchner enters transfer portal as lacrosse player

Alabama quarterback Tyler Buchner is entering the transfer portal, but as a lacrosse player.

Buchner transferred from Notre Dame before the start of the season.

CBS Sports reports that a return to football has not been ruled out, according to ESPN.

When Notre Dame offensive coordinator Tommy Rees took the same job at Alabama in the off season, Buchner came with him.

Buchner played in Alabama’s game against South Florida but was benched after five drives.
