Millbrook man sentenced to federal prison

A Millbrook man has been sentenced to decades in federal prison.

Federal prosecutors say 45-year-old Kawasi Wilson was sentenced after being convicted of gun and drug charges.

Wilson received 32 years in prison and eight years of supervised release.

Evidence at his trial said a search warrant was executed at his home in August 2022, where agents found 1,000 grams of cocaine, two guns and more than $20,000 in cash.

Prosecutors say he’d already been convicted of felonies, including drug trafficking, and he was banned from having a gun.

The jury said he had intended to distribute the cocaine.
