Sunshine Friday; Cloudy, cool, wet, and windy this weekend

Friday morning was less cold than recent morning, with lows in the upper 30s to low 40s. The trend for less-cold mornings continues into the weekend. Although, that comes at the expense of clouds and rain Saturday and Sunday. However, the sky remains mostly sunny Friday with mild temperatures. Afternoon highs range from the low to mid 60s. Clouds increase Friday night with lows in the low to mid 40s.

Saturday and Sunday look mainly cloudy. However, clouds may depart at least west Alabama by late Sunday afternoon. Rain looks likely this weekend too. However, neither Saturday nor Sunday look like washouts. Rain coverage may remain somewhat scattered, and rain amounts could be relatively light. Moreover, Saturday morning looks relatively dry. Rain coverage gradually increases late Saturday. Saturday night may feature the greatest coverage of rain.

Rain then tapers off Sunday morning. Otherwise, temperatures remain cool, with highs in the low 60s both days. Winds remain breezy, out of the east at 10 to 15 mph Saturday, and out of the northeast at 10 to 15 mph Sunday. Gusts could be over 20 mph at times. Sunday night turns cold and windy with a clearing sky. Winds become northwesterly at 10 to 15 mph with gusts over 20 mph, and lows fall into the low 40s.

Next week looks cool, but perhaps near-seasonably so. High temperatures range from the 50s to low 60s Monday through Friday. Temperatures trend a bit warmer late in the week. Each day looks rain-free. Plenty of sunshine fills the sky Monday and Tuesday. However, clouds may increase Wednesday through Friday. Overnight lows may fall into the 30s Monday and Tuesday night, but only to near 40° Wednesday through Friday night.
