Looks Like Rain Targeting Part Of The Holiday Weekend

Our rather quiet weather pattern continues on this week. It’s basically dry and cold but all this will be changing as we get into the upcoming holiday weekend. Yes, it looks like more rain will be heading our way just as Santa starts making his rounds.

In the meantime, high pressure will keep us dry and chilly through the workweek. Mornings start out cold in the upper 20s to lower 30s and afternoon highs will hover in the 50s most of the week. An active westerly wind flow aloft will transport clouds over us at times and that will filter out the sunshine. This will be more notable Wednesday. I’ll have to go with a partly sunny sky. We’re still dry as the low level moisture remains cutoff for now but that changes over the upcoming weekend.

The holiday weekend is setting up to be a bit milder temperaturewise but along with the warm comes moisture. Temps will manage lower to mid 60s for highs through Monday (Christmas Day). For now, it looks like Friday and Saturday will stay dry but rain will enter the state Sunday (Christmas Eve). It will spread from west to east and most all locations will be seeing rain Sunday night and Monday. It’s an all rain event without any severe storm risk this time around. Temps will be in the 50s and 60s so you can rule out a white Christmas.
