The Lady Tigers defeated Washington State 69-62 to extend their winning streak to seven.

Honesty Scott-Grayson helped lead the Lady Tigers to victory with 17 points on the night.

“Extreme intensity. I told them in shootaround that’s what we were going to have to have to win this game,” Auburn coach Johnnie Harris said. “I thought they played their hearts out.”

It was also a big night for Auburn’s JaMya Mingo-Young who recorded twelve points, seven assists, and seven rebounds.

“That’s my job, to push tempo,” Mingo-Young said. “Get downhill and attack them. I knew I was going to have to help rebound. It’s important as a point guard, being able to make an impact everywhere.”

The Lady Tiger went into the half trailing by six, but quickly grabbed the lead in the second half after going on a 9-2 run.

“They take adjustments that we make at halftime and they execute it,” Harris said. “I’m really pleased about that. This team is a work in progress. This team is really selfless.”

The Lady Tigers improve to 10-2 on the season and will return to the court on New Year’s Eve where they will host North Alabama.
