Alabama football player arrested for knowingly spreading STD

An Alabama football player has been arrested for knowingly spreading an STD.

According to WAAY-TV, Offensive Lineman Elijah Pritchett was arrested and charged with knowingly passing a sexually transmitted disease.

The offense is a Class C Misdemeanor in the State of Alabama. Pritchett is currently out of jail on a $500 bond.

Action 8 News reached out to the Tuscaloosa Police Department. A spokesperson said Pritchett has been granted youthful offender status and therefore, no information can be further released.

The spokesperson did say the case is pending in the Tuscaloosa Municipal Court.

Pritchett is a Redshirt Freshman and saw the field in all of Alabama’s games this season.
