Pike Road’s Season of Giving benefits two River Region organizations
The Town of Pike Road is giving back to two organizations in the River Region through its Season of Giving Holiday Collections Drive.
This year, the program benefited the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System and the Woodland Church Food Pantry.
Each year, people stop by the Pike Road Town Hall to donate items, like canned goods, hygiene products and warm clothing. The donations are then given to area organizations.
This year’s drive brought in a total of 879 items, estimated at approximately $4,000.
Both organizations received the donated items at Town Hall this week.
