Petco closing store on Eastern Boulevard in Montgomery
The national Petco pet store chain is closing its store on Eastern Boulevard in Montgomery.
Its store is located in the same shopping center as Aldi, Jason’s Deli and Planet Fitness.
A going out of business sale is underway.
Action 8 News has contacted Petco, which told us that the decision came after evaluating its real estate portfolio. The company says the store will close January 21.
That shopping center has lost Best Buy and Books-a-Million in recent years.
With the closing, the nearest Petco stores will be in Opelika and Birmingham.
