Tuscaloosa police have arrested a Demopolis man in connection to a 2021 murder of a Tuscaloosa teen.

Capt. Jack Kennedy tells Action 8 News that 23-year-old Quentin Hudson is the fourth suspect arrested in deadly shooting of Versaun Leonard.

Leonard was murdered in the 3200 block of Willow Lane on June 12, 2021. The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit also arrested Brenygha Edwards, Justin Jenkins and Quartavious Hudson for capital murder that same month. All of the suspects are also from Marengo County.

Court records state Leonard was murdered during the course of a robbery.

In the past year, Violent Crimes Unit investigators and the Tuscaloosa County District Attorney’s Office say they have been working together to review the case along with the Sheriff’s Office Cyber Intel Unit and it was determined that a fourth suspect was involved.

Investigators searched for Hudson last week, and Hudson eventually turned himself into Montgomery authorities.

Hudson is in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on no bond.
