MPD: 14-year-old charged in December 27th homicide

Montgomery police have arrested and charged a teenager in connection to a homicide that happened last week.

Major Saba Coleman said the 14-year-old male, of Montgomery, was charged with Capital Murder in the December 27th shooting death of a 17-year-old male, also of Montgomery.

Officers and fire medics were called to the 2100 block of Rexford Road that afternoon. That’s where they found the teenager with a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The unidentified 14-year-old was taken into custody on January 3. He is currently in the Montgomery County Detention Facility on no bond.
