A Cloudy, Windy, And Wet Night But Not A Weekend Washout
Our next round of rain will work its way across our area tonight. It will be a cloudy, windy, and wet night. The system moves out just in time for you to enjoy some plans outdoors both Saturday and Sunday.
In the meantime, a disturbance will move through the region tonight into early Saturday morning. A few rumbles of thunder will be possible but we don’t see any significant severe storm threat. Winds will pick up and we could experience sustained winds 10-15 with gust 25-35 mph. Rainfall potential will range between .50 to 1.50 inches. The system will depart early Saturday morning and the rest of the weekend looks dry. Sunday is looking fairly nice with sunshine and temps in the mid to upper 50s.
We expect our next rain maker to move into the area Monday through Tuesday. This system could be a bit stronger and we will need to mention the risk for severe storms. Rainfall potential will be higher with this one and some spots could see rainfall amounts between 2-3 inches. We will continue to keep you updated on the threat as we get closer to the event.
