The last remaining Momma Goldberg’s in Montgomery has closed.

A spokesperson for the restaurant chain tells Action 8 News that the lease for the location in the Sturbridge shopping center expired at the end of the month.

President Nick Davis said the location never recovered to the pre-COVID sales numbers, which put the restaurant in a position of losing money.

As a result, officials made the decision not to renew the lease.

Momma Goldberg’s used to have two locations in the city. The downtown location closed in 2022.

Momma Goldberg’s has locations in Alabama and Georgia with the closest ones in Auburn and Troy.
