Suspects in Eastchase homicide charged with Capital Murder
The suspects in the homicide that occurred at the Shoppes at Eastchase have been identified.
Montgomery police tell Action 8 News 23-year-old Jaden Waters and 19-year-old Myeesha Townsend, both of Montgomery, are charged with Capital Murder for the shooting death of 21-year-old Larry Wright, Jr., also of Montgomery.
Officers and fire medics were called just before 3:00 p.m. to the 6800 block of Eastchase Parkway.
Upon their arrival, they found Wright dead from a gunshot wound.
Police say one of the suspected shooters, now identified as Waters, also suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound and was found at a local hospital. He was then taken into custody. Townsend was taken into custody early Friday.
Investigators say the motive was domestic in nature.
According to court documents obtained by Action 8 News, Townsend was out on bond for a 1st degree burglary charge that occurred in June 2023 on Southmont Drive in Montgomery. Court records also show as a result of the murder charge, the State has filed a motion to revoke her bond related to that burglary charge.
Waters and Townsend are currently in the Montgomery County Detention Facility on no bond.
