Severe storms possible Monday night through Tuesday morning
Severe storms appear possible Monday night due to a storm system becoming quite strong to our northwest. A few storms may become strong to severe in our area, capable of damaging wind gusts and perhaps brief tornadoes. Wind gusts could be strong outside of thunderstorms, in excess of 40 mph. Heavy rain looks likely through Tuesday morning, with totals of up to 4″.
Our area trends drier late Tuesday as the storm system departs to our northeast. Tuesday night lows fall into the upper 30s to low 40s. Sunshine returns Wednesday, but it looks like a cool and breezy day with highs in the 50s. Wednesday night lows fall into the 30s. Thursday could be partly cloudy, rain-free, and milder with highs in the low 60s. Rain looks likely Friday, then next weekend looks dry and cool.
