Two Selma men have been arrested in a highway shooting that left a Prattville man recovering from injuries.

Millbrook police say the shooting happened at around 3PM Monday. Officers were called to the 3100 block of Highway 14 after getting reports of shots being fired in that area around the highway and Old Prattville Road.

Police say they found two vehicles that had been hit by gunfire several times. A person in one of the vehicles, a 22-year-old man from Prattville, had been hit by the gunfire and was taken to a hospital with what police say appear to be non-life threatening injuries.

Witnesses provided a description of the suspects’ vehicle, and Prattville police found it and stopped it at Highway 14 and Interstate 65.

Millbrook police arrested two suspects, 24-year-old Korde’z Ervin and 22-year-old Latrell White, both of Selma, charging each of them with two counts of firing a gun into an occupied vehicle. They are both being held without bond in the Elmore County Jail.

Millbrook police say investigators discovered that the suspect vehicle had been observed in the area of several businesses in the area of Fairview Avenue and Old Farm Lane prior to being pulled over by Prattville police. They say a search of the area revealed several weapons had been discarded in a trash dumpster, which were impounded as potential evidence in this case.
