Fire on Norman Bridge Road in Montgomery damages four businesses

Montgomery firefighters are investigating the cause of a fire that damaged four businesses early Sunday morning.

Montgomery Fire/Rescue says the fire started just before 3AM at a building in the 3300 block of Norman Bridge Road, near the intersection of Edgemont Avenue.

When fire crews arrived, they were met with heavy smoke and flames. It took aerial ladders and large hand lines to put out the 2-alarm fire.

There were no injuries in the fire. The cause is not yet known.
