Student charged with making threat at Elmore County High School

A student has been charged with making threats at Elmore County High School, school officials say.

According to the Elmore County school system, 19-year-old Antorne Lykes is charged with making a terrorist threat and possession of a deadly weapon on school grounds.

The school system says the student made the threat in class this morning, and school administrators along with the school resource officer searched the student’s vehicle and found a weapon.

They say the criminal side of the investigation has been turned over to law enforcement. The school system says it will follow the discipline procedure for the Elmore County Board of Education.
