ACTION 8 UPDATE: Amber Alert cancelled for abducted 1-year-old child in North Alabama

ACTION 8 UPDATE: The Amber Alert has been cancelled.

The Decatur Police Department says 1-year-old Prince Burge has been found safe in Huntsville and the suspect, Christopher Burge, was taken into custody by Huntsville police.

No other information has been released.

An Amber Alert has been issued for a child that police say was abducted.

The Decatur Police Department and ALEA say 1-year-old Prince Burge was last seen on February 8 around 4:30 a.m. in the area of Decatur Morgan Hospital wearing a light blue onesie and a dark brown jacket. Police say they believe the child is in extreme danger.

Officials say 33-year-old Christopher Lynn Burge is the abductor.

The individuals may be traveling in a white Jeep Wrangler with Massachusetts tag number 4SAN14.
