A Quick Round Of Showers Then Turning Colder

High pressure centered to our east is drifting eastward  and away from us. This movement will setup a southerly wind flow and moisture increases over the area. The southerly wind flow will also lead to temps warming and we’re once again approaching 70 degrees Friday afternoon. Any rain activity will hold off for most spots Friday. The exception will be our southern most counties.  We could see light rain moving across that area Friday afternoon. A better chance for showers comes through overnight Friday into early Saturday morning.

In the meantime, we expect a mostly cloudy sky tonight. Temps won’t be quiet as cold and and only fall into the mid to upper 4os. That’s not a bad start and temps will manage mid to upper 60s by Friday afternoon.

We head into the weekend with another rain maker passing through the area. It’s a frontal system and it moves into the area Friday night into early Saturday. Our sky clouds up and showers are likely to move through the area. Most of the showers will occur overnight Friday. The rain departs early but clouds linger and that will hold temps down a bit Saturday. We’re only managing mid to upper 50s for highs Saturday afternoon. Overnight temps will be even colder with lower to mid 30s likely Sunday and Monday morning.  Another area of high pressure begins building over the region Sunday afternoon into early next week. This will provide us sunny and dry conditions for Sunday through the middle of next week. We will see temps climbing into the lower 70s by Wednesday afternoon.  Next rain maker set to arrive Thursday night into early Friday.
