High school brawl leads to several arrests in Dallas Co.
From the West Alabama Newsroom–
A Selma woman and several juveniles have been arrested in Dallas County — following a big brawl at a local high school.
“We have a volatile situation that could have lead to several people being killed.”
Sheriff Mike Granthum says deputies were called out to Southside High School at around 11:35 Tuesday morning — when a fight involving several students broke out near the school cafeteria.
Granthum says when deputies arrived at the school — they found 20 year old Aniayah Lewis in the school parking lot with two loaded pistols. And when officers began questioning her — she tried to run away.
Lewis was arrested — along with about seven juveniles who were involved in the brawl.
“And one of her guns had a drum. I mean she was, she, I mean she had it in her waistband. I mean, it was fully loaded. And then she had one on her leg. So, I mean, it’s just not going to be tolerated. You’re not going to come to school grounds and disrupt class. You’re not going to be a student in our schools and disrupt the learning process, you’re not going to do it,” said Granthum.
Deputies are searching for 18 year old — Michael Hunter. Hunter is a Southside student — wanted in connection with the campus melee.
“He was involved it. And he’s an adult. We have assault 3rd charges on him. So, if anybody knows his whereabouts of a Michael Hunter we ask that you call us,” Granthum said.
The number to call if you have information that could help investigators — is 334-874-25-30.

Lewis is free tonight — on a $750,000 dollar bond.
