Two people die after Montgomery house fire
Two people have died after being injured in a house fire in Montgomery.
Montgomery Fire/Rescue Assistant Chief Stanley Cooper says the fire was reported just after 1AM today at a home in the 1200 block of Avondale Road, which is near Perry Hill Road.
heavy smoke and flames could be seen when firefighters arrived, Cooper said.
He said a male and a female were found inside the one-story home. Cooper said they both received life support and were taken to emergency rooms, where they each were pronounced dead.
No one else was inside. No firefighters were injured.
Cooper says the cause of the fire is under investigation.
