Montgomery police make arrest in fatal stabbing

A Montgomery man has been arrested in a fatal stabbing.

Police say 27-year-old El’ Gerkuz Johnson has been charged with capital murder.  

As Action 8 News has reported, 35-year-old Darrell Cates was stabbed to death in the 100 block of South Burbank Drive yesterday afternoon.

Police say Johnson was taken into custody today and is being held without bond.

They have released no other information about the case.
