Selma city councilman arrested and charged with domestic violence
A Selma city official now finds himself on the wrong side of the law — facing charges of domestic violence.
Long-time city councilman Sam Randolph was arrested Wednesday night in Selma — following an incident involving his estranged wife.
Randolph is charged with 1 count of domestic violence reckless endangerment — 1 count of domestic violence harassment — and 1 count of reckless endangerment.
According to authorities — Randolph confronted his estranged wife — after spotting her in her car with a man. And when she tried to drive away — Randolph started pursuing her.
She called police and drove to the Selma Police Department — where Randolph was taken into custody for questioning. But after no charges were brought — charges were filed against Randolph with the Dallas County magistrate.
Randolph is free tonight — on $15,000 dollars bond.
