18-year-old driver killed in Marengo County crash

An 18-year-old has been killed in a single-car crash in Marengo County.

Alabama State Troopers say the victim was driving a car at around 11:30 last night, when the car left the roadway, overturned and hit a tree. The victim was from Thomaston but investigators have not released a name.

State troopers say the victim was not using a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash happened on Marengo County Road 21, approximately three miles south of Demopolis.

No other information has been released.
