CAMPAIGN 2024: Alabama Secretary of State gets you prepared to go to the polls

Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen wants to make sure you are prepared to head to the polls on Super Tuesday, March 5.

On that day, voters in Alabama will be choosing nominees for president, the U.S. House and many other state and local races.

Allen says he has no predictions on turnout. In other recent presidential election years, he says it was 41% in 2016 and about 33% in 2020. This time, it appears that President Biden and former President Trump have their party’s nominations nearly in hand.

Allen wants to remind you to take a photo ID with you to the polls, which has been required since 2014.
