Interstate 65 chase ends with crash in Prattville

A Montgomery man faces charges after a chase that started on Interstate 65 and ended with a crash in Prattville.

Alabama State Troopers say 35-year-old Mack Wilson was driving a Chevrolet Camaro that was speeding on Interstate 65 in Elmore County. Investigators say they tried to pull Wilson over, but he did not stop and led them on a chase.

They say they followed him onto Cobbs Ford Road where he eventually crashed into a small SUV. State troopers say Wilson then tried to run off but was arrested a short distance away.

State troopers say Wilson has been charged with felony attempting to elude, felony leaving the scene of a crash, certain person forbidden to possess a firearm, possession of controlled substance, possession of marijuana and driving under the influence.

Wilson was taken to the Elmore County Jail.
