CAMPAIGN 2024: Alabama incumbent U.S. House representatives Mike Rogers, Gary Palmer and Terri Sewell have all won their party’s primaries.

U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers (R-District 3) was first elected in 2002. Because there is no Democrat in the race, he has won another term barring a successful write-in effort. His district includes Lee and Tallapoosa counties in our area and a large part of East Alabama.

U.S. Rep. Gary Palmer (R-District 6) was first elected in 2014. He beat two challengers and moves on to face Democratic candidate Elizabeth Anderson in November. The district now includes Autauga and Elmore counties in our area and extends north into Birmingham.

U.S. Rep. Terri Sewell (D-District 7) was first elected in 2010. She is the only Democratic member of Alabama’s Congressional delegation. Her district runs from Lowndes County into much of West Alabama, but also includes parts of Tuscaloosa and Jefferson counties. She will face the winner of the Republican primary between Christian Horn and Robin Litaker.
