Another Round Of Rain/Storms Ahead

We’re in between rain makers for the time being but a return to more active weather is on the way. The next system will be a bit stronger than the one yesterday. We will have the potential for very heavy rainfall along with a few strong to possibly severe storms late Friday and during Saturday.

In the meantime, it’s looking clear and cool overnight. A northwest wind flow will briefly brings in drier air for a change. Temps will fall off into the 50s for overnight lows.

Our best day of the week weatherwise is setting up to be Thursday. We expect lots of sunshine and temps should respond quickly. Temps will climb into the mid to upper 70s for highs. It’s a nice warm up before we get back into an active weather pattern. More rain and storms will be coming back at us Friday into Saturday.

The weekend will start out with rain and storms advancing through the area. Some of the storms could even be strong to possibly severe Friday night into early Saturday. Some storms will be capable of producing damaging winds up to 60 mph and even a few brief tornadoes. Rainfall could be rather heavy with 2 to 4 inches possible. The rain will depart later Saturday and it’s looking mostly sunny but a lot cooler Sunday into Monday of next week.
