Spring-Like Warmth Kicking In This Week!
We’re in the midst of a dry and mild weather pattern. Southerly breezes and March sunshine will begin to warm us up. As it warms, moisture increases and there’s more soaking rain ahead for late week and the upcoming weekend.
In the meantime, we get a chance to dry out. High pressure will be over the region and that will help keep our sky mainly rain free for now. Temps will respond and we’re warming into the 70s for highs. It will continue dry around here through Thursday. Those southerly breezes and a mainly sunny sky will warm a few spots up to the 80 degree mark Thursday afternoon.
Late week we begin to shift into a more active weather pattern. A frontal boundary will enter the dip south and begin to slowly move through the region. Rain and storms are likely to accompany the frontal system. Early indications are rainfall could reach 2 to 4 inches over a Friday through Sunday period. At this point, a significant severe storm threat doesn’t show up but this could change as we get a bit closer to the weekend. We will keep you posted.
