Post office in Luverne temporarily closed due to burst pipe
A burst pipe has forced the post office in Luverne to temporarily close.
The U.S. Postal Service says the post office, located at 29 East 3rd Street is flooded.
Customers are asked to use the post office at 1606 Lee Street in Rutledge until the Luverne location can be re-opened.
The Rutledge post office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Saturday, 8:15 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
USPS says Luverne customers with proper identification may pick up their Post Office Box mail at the Rutledge location. Regular mail and package delivery will continue in the Luverne community while the Post Office is being repaired.
