Looking Cloudy And Wet At Times Friday

We’re heading towards the weekend with a disturbance approaching us and it’s a rain maker. It will make most of your Friday cloudy/wet and some of Saturday wet but it’s definitely not a washout over the weekend.

For now,  the clouds have rolled in and the rain will follow.  Showers are possible early Friday and throughout the day.  Temps will only manage mid to upper 60s due to clouds and rain activity.  It will be a cooler day areawide. Rain will continue into Friday night and linger into early Saturday.  Rainfall potential will range between .50 to 1.50″.  Any storm development would favor extreme south Alabama into the panhandle.

The backside of the disturbance will linger into some of Saturday as well. It’s looking mostly cloudy with some showers through midday Saturday. The winds will be rather strong at times. Sustained winds of 10-20 mph with gust as high as 35 mph.  Improving weather conditions are in store for Sunday. We get back to sunny skies and temps warm nicely into the lower to mid 70s Sunday afternoon,

Looking into next week, we’re going to be watching the development of a system approaching us early Tuesday. It will be a cold front and there’s the potential for storms ahead and along the frontal boundary. We shall keep you posted on any severe storm threats.
