Body found near train tracks in Selmont
A death investigation is underway after railroad workers found a body near a set of train tracks in Selmont.
Selma Police Chief Chief Kenta Fulford says the body was sent to forensics to be identified and to determine the cause of death.
He says the body appeared to have been there for several weeks.
Workers spotted the body last week when they began working along the tracks just off Old Montgomery Highway in Selmont.
