A Warming Trend Ahead

High pressure has setup over us and this weather feature will be controlling our weather over the next several days. Sunny and dry weather conditions are likely with the ridge nearby. For now, northerly winds are ushering in much cooler air. It’s going to lead to a chilly overnight but it will be very brief because we’re warming up significantly over the upcoming weekend into early next week.

We’re right underneath the ridge tonight. This will provide us with a clear sky and light winds. It’s an ideal setup for temps to fall. We’re expecting upper 30s to lower 40s Friday morning. The ridge of high pressure will slide a little east of us and setup a southwesterly wind flow Friday afternoon. This position will be perfect for a warming trend. 80+ degree warmth is likely to begin Saturday and continue into Tuesday of next week.

All indications are your Easter weekend is setting up to be very nice! You can expect lots of sunshine and temps warming into the upper 70s to lower 80s for highs. This should be great conditions for any outdoor plans both days. Looks like the warm spring conditions will spill over into that following workweek. Mid 80s are possible Monday and Tuesday. Our next potential rain maker will be a frontal system approaching Tuesday into Wednesday.
