USPS searching for mail theft suspect in Troy

The U.S. Postal Service needs your help finding the person suspected of stealing mail from a delivery truck in Troy.

The suspect is male, and investigators believe he is an adult.

On December 12, 2023, while mail was being delivering at the Midtown Apartment Complex at 101 Center Street in Troy, the mail carrier noticed someone taking a tray of mail from a mail truck. 

Investigators say surveillance video shows the person leaving the area on foot. The suspect wore all-black clothing and had a white backpack.

USPS and Troy police are investigating. In addition, Central Alabama CrimeStoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to the identification of the suspect.
