April begins very warm; Rain, storms Tuesday night, then sunshine
Easter Sunday was a fairly nice spring day across central and south Alabama. There was sunshine in the sky, but clouds thickened during the afternoon. However, it was a rain-free day, and warm with high temperatures near 80°. Sunday night remains mostly cloudy and mild, with lows in the low to mid 60s.
April begins even warmer, with highs in the mid 80s Monday and Tuesday. Rain returns late Tuesday through Tuesday night, then our area trends drier and cooler late next week. High temperatures range from the low to mid 70s Wednesday through Friday. Overnight temperatures turn cooler, in the 40s each night. Next weekend could be mainly sunny and rain-free, with highs in the mid to upper 70s.
