ACTION 8 UPDATE: $1,000 reward offered in Montgomery homicide investigation

ACTION 8 UPDATE: Central Alabama CrimeStoppers is now offering a $1,000 reward in the hopes of identifying the suspect in a fatal shooting that happened early Easter morning in Montgomery.

A man was killed and another man was injured in the shooting.

Montgomery police say 26-year-old Trevoncia Simmons of Montgomery died after being shot in the 3400 block of McGehee Road at about 12:40AM.  The location is near the old Montgomery Mall.

Police say another man was also found shot. He was taken to a hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries. His name hasn’t been released.

Police have launched a homicide investigation into Simmons’ death.
