Beyond the Horizon Air Show: What you need to know

The Beyond the Horizon Air Show, featuring the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels, takes place this weekend at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery. Here’s what to know as you plan your visit:
- Free and open to the public, you don’t need a military ID to get on base
- Metal detectors/security checkpoints in use
- Clear bag policy in effect
- Food and drink available from vendors on base
- Empty bottles/snacks permitted, with water refill stations available
- No alcohol allowed
- No backpacks, large bags or coolers allowed
- No pets other than service animals

- Gates open at 8AM on Saturday and Sunday
- 10AM opening ceremony
