“U.S. Navy Week” Proclaimed in Montgomery in preparation for Blue Angels Air Show
In preparation for this weekend’s Beyond the Horizon Air Show featuring the Blue Angels, Montgomery Mayor Steven Reed has proclaimed this to be “U.S. Navy Week” in the city.
The proclamation aims to celebrate and honor the U.S. Navy. The week will highlight the Navy’s outreach efforts, with many community events planned.
“This week, as we enjoy the festivities, let us also renew our commitment to supporting our service members, veterans and their families. Fostering a community that recognizes and appreciates the unyielding service to our nation,” Reed said as he welcomed U.S. Navy Rear Admiral Mike Brown back to Montgomery. Brown is a Montgomery native.
Members of the Navy will attend the ASU vs. Troy basketball game Tuesday night at 6PM.
The U.S. Navy’s Air Show will take place at Maxwell Air Force Base on Saturday and Sunday.
