Thousands of students take part in Montgomery air show STEM Expo
An estimated 4,000 5th-12th grade students took part in the STEM Expo at the Beyond the Horizon Air and Space Show at Maxwell Air Force Base.
Students got an opportunity to see science, technology, engineering and math, from robotics to drones and even virtual reality.
The Expo was held on base in two aircraft hangars and a fitness facility annex.
The event was part of the air show, which brought the U.S. Navy Blue Angels to Montgomery, along with other military air performers and historic aircraft.
