Tuskegee man arrested on several charges in Auburn
Auburn police say a traffic stop led to the arrest of a Tuskegee man on several charges.
Police say 22-year-old Tyquan Shermond Daniel was arrested Saturday on warrants charging him with assault first degree, felony attempting to elude, sodomy second degree and failure to appear.
Police say they conducted the traffic stop on a vehicle Daniel was driving near the 600 block of Byrd Street. They say during the traffic stop, Daniel sped off, which led to a chase.
Police say during the pursuit, a 15-year-old passenger got out, but Daniel continued to drive recklessly, which seriously injured the juvenile.
Officers say Daniel’s vehicle was stopped by using spike strips near the 100 block of Chadwick Lane.
Daniel was taken to the Lee County Jail and held on a $65,500 bond.
