Man shot on Highland Avenue in Montgomery

Montgomery police are investigating a shooting that left a man injured.

Capt. Raymond Carson of the Montgomery Police Department told Action 8 News that around 4:38PM, they were called to the 1900 block of Cherry Street, where they found the victim. They determined that he had been shot in the 2700 block of Highland Avenue, which is not far from the Ann Street intersection.

Carson said the man was taken to a hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

No other information has been released.
