Flimp Festival celebrates the arts in Montgomery
Artists and Artists at heart came out to explore The Flimp Festival at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts this weekend.
The annual festival is a celebration of imagination, humor and creativity for people of all ages. The free event featured art-making activities, games, a photo booth and music.
“Here at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts, we consider it the kickoff to spring,” Emily Stuart Thomas, the head of learning and programs at MMFA said.
“As a creative myself, in the past I’ve often were not a lot of places to express that creativity in a welcoming community. So to be able to foster something like that and have a platform for the community to come out have fun enjoy the weather before the bugs get here is very important to me,” Ashley Redic said.
“It’s my first time coming, so I figured I would just bring my husband and my niece with me and we’ll see how it goes. It was actually really fun. I enjoyed it,” Ciera Mims said.
