ACTION 8 UPDATE: Montgomery police say a fatal shooting has led to a death investigation

ACTION 8 UPDATE: Montgomery police say a fatal shooting over the weekend had prompted a homicide investigation; however, new evidence has adjusted their probe into a death investigation.  

Capt. Raymond Carson told Action 8 News that the shooting happened Saturday around 11:00 p.m. in the 3600 block of Kelly Lane. That’s near East Delano Avenue.

Once officers and Fire Medics arrived, they found 56-year-old John Moore with a fatal gunshot wound. Moore was pronounced dead on the scene.

No arrests have been made at this time.
