Girl shot on Troy Highway in Montgomery

Montgomery police are investigating a shooting that left a girl injured.

Police Maj. Saba Coleman told Action 8 News that the victim was found at about 2:50PM yesterday in the 4000 block of Virginia Loop Road. However, Coleman says the shooting happened in the 4000 block of Troy Highway, which is near the Virginia Loop Road intersection.

Coleman says the juvenile female suffered a gunshot wound that is not believed to be life-threatening. She was taken to a hospital for treatment. Her age was not released.
