Showers & T-storms Are Likely This Weekend
Looks like an active weather pattern returns just in time for our weekend. A frontal boundary will push through the state and be the focal point for rain activity over the Saturday and Sunday. It won’t be a washout but rain activity could have an impact on some of your outdoor plans.
In the meantime, the frontal boundary will push through the state and end up across south Alabama early Saturday. Rain chances will increase during the afternoon hours. We expect scattered showers and t-storms can’t with gusty winds the main threat. Clouds and rain activity will probably hold temps down a bit and highs are expected to be in the upper 70s to lower 80s Saturday afternoon.
We head into Sunday with a disturbance will moving along the frontal boundary. This area of low pressure will help increase rain chances across the area. Clouds and rain are likely and temps will take a hit. We’re expecting temps to only reach the lower to mid 60s for highs Sunday afternoon. Rainfall potential will range between .50 up 1.50 inches over the weekend.
Early next week, we’re back to dry and cool conditions starting Monday. High pressure will return to the deep south. Our skies will clear out and temps cool down. Morning temps start out in the mid to upper 40s Monday and Tuesday. Afternoon temps will hover in the mid 70s. Another warming trend will kick in by midweek and we’re back in the 80s once again.
